1400 Piedmont

Recorded in Nashville Tennessee with the incredible Ryan Truso, 1400 Piedmont was the first self released album recorded by The Great Lands. It includes the first anthemic single, "Queen (One More Night)", the beautifully haunting acoustic track, "Lonely Houses", as well as the raucous 6 minute-plus song, "Down The Line" which was inspired by Jordan's younger brother 'hitting the road' in a 1970's Dodge Van. Each song has wonderful instrumentation and is sonically pristine primarily through the help of the truly talented Truso. Five beautifully crafted songs showing the depth of both lyrical truth and musical skill.

East,West

The second 5 song EP from The Great Lands. Recorded at the original 'cottage' of Standard Electric Recording Studio of Atlanta Georgia. At the helm was famous 'underground/indie' producer Damon Moon. With Moon at the lead, Jordan took a very 'Americana / Roots Rock' approach to his songs...but still managed to hold on to the 'indie/ pop' sensibility that he had embraced on his first EP (1400 Piedmont). You can hear stronger lyrical bravery in songs such as "Common Things", a song about the 'simplicity' of life laid out in glorious word usage. The 'indie pop' shines brightest with the song, "The Trouble In You"...a guitar layered anthem. At the heart of the EP is the song, "On Top Of Your Heart"...a song that Jordan says came "quickly...unlike most of the other songs I labor on." On Top Of Your Heart is a beautiful and haunting song returning to the overall theme of the 'simplicity' of things...but the complexity of life...and the complexity of the album, lives very closely and is not to be missed.
